I should have heeded the reviews...BUBBLING

Just applied per the instructions on the can, trying to stop peeling paint or primer on the ceiling. Surface is clean, have gone over it several times wet and dry after popcorn removal, joint compound, sanding, primer, and more joint compound, sanding, and primer. The other primers didn't adhere well so I was trying to seal them and finally move on. I applied it thickly with a 1/2" nap as recommended and worked it in, then reapplied as the label says. It works!!!

Used this to correct a botched paint job completed by “professional” painters, after waking up to peeling paint less than 24 hours after my ceiling was done!! I am in New England and my ceilings are original, from 1930. My process was first to scrape each of the peeling spots. Next, I used this product and let it dry overnight. Works perfectly if used properly

I didn’t get before and after pics but I first used it on my ceiling then porch. They both had peeling so I scraped off the big pieces and sanded the edges. I applied two coats of the triple thick waiting 4 hours between coats. Voila… a smooth canvas for a fresh paint. A lot of the bad reviews sound like user error.

Worst primer

Goes on like water and doesn't cover bare wood. I tried two coats then returned it and had to do two more coats of a Sherwin Williams product that worked, plus it was cheaper.

It does the job

The previous owner of my home had painted an exterior block wall without priming first. In some places, the paint was coming off in sheets. What a mess. I used a power washer to remove what I could - then applied 2 coats of peel stop. My top coat looks beautiful now, and I didn't have to strip the entire wall.

After reading the review from a professional that explained what the product did, I knew it was what I needed for my project. This primer worked great at hiding and adhering the flaking paint on my chimney!

Peel Stop will know next year

It seems to be working had some areas on deck that paint did not adhere properly and over a year some pain bubbled up. This appears to be working. Will know next summer Yes I would recommend!

This Product under your Paint makes it look better

I have now completed 3 wood painting projects on the siding of my house using this primer. The condition of the siding was bad to worse tounge and grove. Sanding was not going to work. Border line replacement was over the top expensive. I was told about Z-Peel Stop. Caulked the cracks and gaps. Painted on 2 thick layers of this product then painted and “Bam !” it looks so so Good. You won’t be disappointed.

I thougbt the primer would go on a little thicker.
