Most highlight its ease of use—simply flush it down the toilet—and credit it with eliminating costly plumbing backups when used regularly every three to six months. Many report not needing professional plumbers for over a decade. Reviewers emphasize its cost-effectiveness compared to expensive pipe replacement or root removal services, with some using it successfully for 14 to 25 years. A few note it requires mechanical snaking if roots have completely blocked lines. Overall, customers consider it an essential, affordable preventive maintenance solution.

Pipes root killer on the job!
I initially purchased this product about six months ago at the recommendation of my plumber. I consider the cost reasonable. I had called on him to assist with a clogged toilet. Using the "snake" rooter to check and identify the problem, he pulled out tree roots that were about 3 feet long. Though this product is not meant as an end all for our problem, he suggested that a bottle applied as directed every 3-4 months would do a great job of staving off further root growth invading my plumbing....
