Noisy after 24 hours
Would Not RecommendI replaced an older door closer of the same brand since it had become noisy (loud sound of the spring winding and unwinding every time the door opened and closed). Got this brand new one, and after 12 hours it started making the exact same noise. Lube won't help this - it's just not a great product. I replaced it with a spring door hinge - costs about the same, plus it's invisible and not clunky looking like this. If you have a light-duty interior door, I recommend trying a spring hinge if you w...

Great Wright Door Closer
Would RecommendInstalled it on the rear of the door to the garage. Easy to install, and adjust. Took maybe 30 mins since I take my time. You can adjust the inner spring tension depending on how forcefully you want the door to close--note that this closer works using spring tension, it's not pneumatic. I should have done this years ago.

Works Well But
Would RecommendThe slide plate is too short for my screen door. I need a 3.5" one and the one provided is 2" and is simply too short to catch the entire arm as it glides across the back of the door, causing marks.
