Shipped a beaten-up unit that died same day

Absolutely unacceptable quality control and handling. The box arrived beaten up and broken, the unit had visible scratches, and the motherboard cover was popped wide open right out of the packaging. It managed to power on initially during set up, but quickly died completely, the screen is now pitch black and has zero power. To make it worse, Lowe's expects me to lug a heavy, damaged 100+ lb softener back to the store myself for a return rather than picking it up or exchanging it. Complete waste...

They sell your name to a home sales scam, leaks.

I replaced an old Whirlpool softener with a new one. I attempted to buy a softener in the store. I asked about having a plumber install it and was told someone would call me. The person who called me was a sales company that wanted to sell me a different unit with a whole spiel about a home visit to talk with me and the spouse (both had to be there). Damaged on delivery. No replacement option.

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars! The water softener was mishandled during delivery and damaged. The heavy unit had been turned upside down which dislodged the internal tank. The delivery was accepted because there was no visible damage to the shipping box. I was unable to correct the problem after unpacking it. I would like to have the unit replaced. However, when I called customer support I was told that I have to return the heavy item myself to Lowe's and get a refund. I think Lowe's ...

Bypass Valve Leaking

Purchased few days back and upon install, we find out the plastic by-pass valve starts leaking - a drop every second. I am going to first try my luck with Lowes as only after I notice 48 hrs return window. Having bought lowes warranty will give that a test too to see how that works.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I received an open box water softener and purchased a new one, Lowes will not have it picked up for an exchange for a new one. I spent 4 hours total, over a week, trying to resolve this. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never purchase anything again from Lowes.

Perfect Water from Perfect Water Softener

I purchased my softener a few weeks ago and it’s performing wonderfully! Our water has improved 100% and we can’t be happier. We saved money because it hooked up the same as our our Kenmore softener. It’s speak looking snd matches our flooring and other appliances. All I can say is thank you for selling us an outstanding Water Softener!

Multiple malfunctioning parts right out of the box

I bought this to replace an older Kenmore unit (made by whirlpool)and decided to go with one with more features and a little bit more capacity.. I noticed that during installation the bypass valve would not completely turn off the water. After hooking it up, I noticed that it never put any water into the brine tank during regeneration. Want remove iron

I purchased a month age and I used green salt unfortunately I still have a considerable amount of iron in my water it has been recharged daily and still a lot of iron I contacted whirlpool and asked what i needed to go with the softener and have not had a response

Do Not Buy!!

I have just purchased this product on June 22 online, picked up June 23 and installed by a plumber on June 25th. All excited that I was replacing the older GE softener after 13 years. The plumber connects it, adds the salt and re realize the computer panel board is not flush to the cover and it will not allow us, when pushing buttons, to set the clock and salt level etc. The licensed plumber realized there was nothing we could do so we took the softener back to Lowes. Whirlpool met its warranty obligation

Quality control was iffy; came with a damaged cover and the brine well was not in its proper place. But so far it is working correctly without any leaks and Whirlpool sent me a new cover under warranty.

This replaced Kenmore and it fit perfectly.

Easy to install.
