Replacing 10yr old model. I Love the new location and larger capacity of load and go container. Machine is much quieter than older model. Also seems to clean our clothes better. I wish the instruction manual was a little more comprehensive. Some of the cycle types could use more description to clarify when to select them

Sturdy, dependable

my washing machine died after 12 years. As luck would have it Lowe’s was having a Labor Day sale on washers so I bought the 5.0 cu ft whirlpool and saved $400. I buy the big machines to wash my dog blankets. This machine handles the blankets with no strain and it is quiet. Delivery and setup was a breeze. Thank you Lowes! I buy my needs at Lowes exclusively because they never let me down.

Defective Washer, no help

I purchased this washer and after it finally arrived I installed it and found the drum has a part loose somewhere between it and the housing. I have contacted Whirlpool and a repairman has been here twice in 7 months, still isn’t fixed. I’ve had a replacement drum sitting here for months. The last appointment was 3 months ago and the repairman said he didn’t have the tools to replace the drum. The repairman has ghosted me and missed an appointment on June 22nd. Hot garbage, do not buy

The first thing that happened with this washer on the day we bought it was that the plastic release tab for the regular dispenser broke. Then, we opened the drawer for the Load & Go dispenser, and that wouldn't close. It took ten days for the appliance repair people from Whirlpool to get parts for our brand new washer. There wound up being a tube blocking the Load & Go dispenser in the back that isn't documented anywhere in any of the instructions, and the repair person advised that we should...

Very nice

Another bad machine.

Without a washing machine for 7 weeks and still have no estimated repair date after multiple visits. So I went to our local furniture store and bought a new set. I am done w/appliances at Lowes. The last set we purchased from Lowe's caught our house on fire because of a manufacturer's defect.

Leaks

My washer leaks during use. Leaves a good size puddle in basement. It's 4 years old. Techs came to look at it and decide it was the rubber gasket. they replaced it a week later. Still leaks just as bad. they never checked anything else. Apparently, a tube from the pump to the discharge tube leaks often. I'll know when they come back in 2 weeks.

Outsourced deliver a nightmare

Dealing with a 3rd party when buying form another is such a nightmare. I would not recommend buying unless the company you purchase form does the actual delivery. Outsourcing will kill companies that continue to think they are saving a dime.

Tries to be smart, but fails miserably.

My clothes have been locked in this washer for days. They are being held hostage because the washer thinks they havn't been drained enough. So it drains for 3 days, relentlessly, through power offs, through power breakers, through sledge hammers. The whirlpool washer is Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven screaming at me all day and all night.

Works Great Then Not

I bought the WFW8620HW3 in June of 2021 and worked great no issues until January of 2022 when I heard two loud cracks from inside the unit and the machine no longer worked. No response whatsoever to input. Repair came out and said main control board needs to be replaced, mfg will so far not repair under warranty despite being well within the one year warranty period. Repair parts are half of what a new unit costs. YMMV, me, never again Whirlpool.
