Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse WGen3600DFcv Recoil Start 4650 Starting / 3600 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Great Generator!

I couldn't be happier with this generator for RV trips and emergency backup. Switching between gas and propane is seamless, and the runtime on a single tank is incredible.

nice generator

So far so good. I like it. Nice product, not too big

Pull starter failed and leaked fuel immediately

The first thing I did was read the manual, add oil, then fuel, and then try to start the generator. A hole in the fuel line dripped immediately after the fuel cutoff was turned on. After fixing, I tried to start it. The pull starter worked once, then locked up immediately halfway through the second pull. I am now attempting to repair the BRAND NEW generator a second time, just to get it running ONCE. I have no faith in this product to work in an emergency, which is its purpose entirely.

Never shipped or received

Ordered this generator August 28 says shipped on 31st, and was to arrive on the 3rd. Shipping says waiting on package from sender. Contact lowers on the 6th was told that I had to wait 10 days for the investigation and another 3 days to get my money back and I would get an email from them about my refund. Today is August 18th and I have called the 3 times saying the same thing. Took my money the day I purchased it but takes forever to get a refund from something they didn’t ship. I have always h...

Disappointing

I have not had a chance to even try this due to the suspicion of it being dropped. The box had damage and I opened it up and the front panel is not flush with the frame and the one clip for the carb is bent and won’t even clip anymore. Two random washers fell out of it and have no clue where they came from. Have not even put gas or oil in it due to the concerns of Lowe’s possibly not taking back after that happens

Run away

Bought this generator, filled it with gas and oil, went to start it and the pull cord to start the generator won’t retract. So i literally can’t even try to start it now. Broken from the factory and they are giving me the run around on giving me a new part. Have a tropical storm hitting in two days and no generator. RUN away from Westinghouse

Outstanding. Easy start runs great works great. Very affordable. I would buy it again. Very much recommended.

I like the quality and construction of this genera

I just bought this generator and I really like it easy to operate.

Nice product, shipping was not

Generator was easy to set up. After my 1st pull, the rope didn't coil back inside. After examining the recoil assembly, i noticed a dent on the housing. The dent was unstoppable, but enough to unbalance the recoil assembly. After a few swear words and after reassembling the unit, it started up.

Works well!

Bought it the 11th, received it yesterday. Working well during a prolonged power outage.

Durability

Just over 2000 hours of operation in the Texas Gulf Coast heat. Still running strong. Still one pull start on gasoline. I use no ethanol in her. Change the oil every 50-100 hours.

Good features long run time

Have not used yet but is very solid i like that it runs on propane doesn't get old

Auto start by Fob

Has au choke adjust, push button start and low oil auto shut off. Love, love, love it!

Broken out of the box

The box arrived at the store pretty banged up and in rough shape. The box had multiple holes in it, and the corners were busted up, the tape on the bottom was popped open, and only the packing bands secured the box shut. As I opened the box, I realized the weld securing the propane regulator to the frame was broken, allowing it to wiggle around freely, not a safe thing for the hose and fittings. When I called Lowes and spoke to a manager, they played hot potato and told me I had to resolve the p...

I like the easy-to-follow instructions and the tool kit that came with it. As soon as I filled the gas tank and oil reservoir (with the quart of oil & funnel that was included), it started right up. Thank you

Good choice for power outages

Love the brand. Bought one 3 years ago but it was small size and work like new till now. I want to upgrade bigger so they can power more electric. Highly recommended

Seems good

Just got this, have only tested it with the propane option but so far so good. It was able to power the A/C on my travel trailer so I’m happy.

easy start, simple to follow instructions.

just got it set up today and it's a charm. everything is perfect.
