Great Customer Service

I would recommend Westinghouse Generators I have used them for years. This one I had a problem with but Westinghouse customer service and Chris at Lowe’s in Latrobe took care of the problem with outstanding customer service.I have the Westinghouse 2500 and 8200 and they work great. Because of that I going to have new 5000 delivered tomorrow.

Great features and power

I purchased this after careful research in preparation for power outages that might occur again.

Decent Unbox

Plastic casing had manufacturer defect. They are small but present. Overall very quiet. We can have conversations standing right next to it. The oil housing was not designed properly. The opening needs to be out where the customers can add and change oil much easier. Thank you. Overall it looks promising. We shall see. I would suggest getting the protection plan just in case it fails

Solid Choice

I bought this as a precaution as last time our power went out for 25 hours and we lost all the food in both of our fridges (the refrigerated part). It was between this one and the Predator 5000 and I chose this one not only because it is at least $250 cheaper, but also because it offered more features such as a longer warranty (3 years vs 90 days) and its quieter (52 dBA vs 61 dBA), its lighter (105 lbs vs 110 lbs). Versatile and relatively quiet

We bought this before a big storm. Fortunately we didn't need it, but I put it through its paces and it is immensely useful and relatively quiet for a generator

Good little generator.

This generator balances power, efficiency, and is quiet as well. The LED display makes monitoring easy. It also has a big fuel tank for its size so it can run quite a long time, no getting up in the middle of the night to fuel it.

Works for the purposes we bought it for. It is not overly large, and can be stored for use in emergencies. Noise-wise, I would compare it to a lawn mower. Otherwise, does what it should at a reasonable price.

very quite, great price.

I joust purchased and tested this, love how quit it is and the duel fuel feature is great. Seems to be working perfect. Was pretty difficult to cold start on propane. Some of the plastic parts, door and case feel cheep and came lightly damaged.

Solid power once it's running

I used this once on propane to back up my appliances. It took several tries to get it started initially, but once it fired up, it ran everything sufficiently without any issues. Pros: Consistent power; handled appliance loads well. Cons: Finicky startup on propane. Good for a backup, just be prepared for a little effort to get it going.

Great Small Generator

This is my first generator and it’s been exactly what we needed. Ran the fridge, space heater and a few other smaller items and never had issues.

Emergency Solution

I've only had this unit for less than a month, so I haven't had the opportunity to operate it yet. Great features, well built, and trusted name.

Very happy with my generator. Started first time on second pull. Nice and quiet. I would have preferred twist locks to open service panels, rather than plastic clips.

Easy and Great

Arrived quickly. Easy set up. Excellent instructions. We ended up not losing power and now not needing it for extended period time, but we did a test-run for 2 hours with no issue at all. Highly recommend

Used for first time

We bought this generator as a backup for use dry camping but also as a home backup. With the recent ice storm that has crippled much of the mid south, it came in handy. Pulled it out of the box, added oil (yes oil fill outlet could stand to extend out further but with a long funnel is manageable), and started it up. We ran two gas furnaces, 4 fridge/freezers and many outlets for 60 hours straight, using a tank of fuel (3.4 gal) about every 12 to 14 hours. We only tripped the breaker once using a...
