Would RecommendCompared to another brand I used for years, I like the West Bend 12-Cup Percolator better because the heating element at the bottom floor has a smooth surface and it is flush with the floor so that, compared to other brands, it stays cleaner and it is much easier to clean when removing coffee oils and water mineral scale build up. The functions and durability so far seem very good. The coffee tastes great.

Great coffee, brews quickly!
Makes great coffee, fast! It reminds me of my youth. Of course, watching the coffee percolate via the glass knob on the top is always a treat. It's very fast and keeps the coffee hot without burning it. Capacity says 12 cups but those are probably dinner cups and not mugs. I like the all-stainless-steel construction including the basket, stem, spreader, and anything that touches the coffee. It also is very shiny and cleans up nicely.

Great until the lid knob broke.
I have owned this percolator about a year. Loved it, it makes great coffee. But then the knob on the lid broke. I am unable to find a suitable replacement. Great disappointment.

I found using a filter weakened the coffee, however without a filter, there were some grounds in the bottom of the pot and cup. So I have a little more experimenting to do for the ideal brew. Looks great, easy to use, easy to clean.
