Would RecommendBought this ladder to replace one I kept in the back of my truck to get in and out of my raised 4 x 4 truck bed. I had another Werner shortie for a long time, but recently ran over it and could not repair it. This new one is a bit stiff, but then I haven't used it much. It feels strong and quite sturdy, and I'm sure in time it will loosen up a bit. I prefer Werner over other brands because I've had such good experiences with them for many years.

Would RecommendThis is the second ladder of this type that I have purchased. Both having the same problem. Very sharp spreaders attached to the legs. The brackets that control the spread of the legs have razor sharp edges. These edges are right where your fingers touch while opening and closing the legs. Apparently, the dies cutting these parts are dull, leaving very sharp edges where your fingers lock and release the legs. Simple abrasive tumbling these parts will round over the sheared edges.
