Would Not RecommendI purchased the griddle because I was hoping to have a full "flat top" surface so I would not need to purchase a flat top griddle. This part is only half of the grill, so does not accomplish that task. I am not sure I will even use it given this disappointment.

Need another drip pan
Would RecommendThe griddle is great! However you need to put a pan under the drip hole so it doesn’t drip down onto the tank and cement.

Not for permanent installation
Would Not RecommendYou are told to bring the grill insert inside and hand wash it and then store it inside when not in use. You also are not supposed to use any oil on it. It's ridiculous that you can't leave it in the grill along like the regular grates. It is way too much trouble to use. It probably works okay but I haven't tried it yet and may return it due to these stupid limitations.

I'm done grilling burgers
It's official, at least on my grill, that burgers are being smashed and griddle cooked from now on. AND it's super easy to clean in the sink after it cools. What's not to love?
