Ratings & Reviews for Weber Compact 1 Count Chimney

Really Fast Starter!

I was surprised how small it is when it arrived but was really impressed with it compared to my old, larger chimney. The full-size Weber sold in the store is just too heavy for me, and for Weber 18" smoker, Weber recommends only filling it half-way so no point in spending more to use only half of it. This Rapid Fire with its cone-shaped charcoal grate shoots the heat to all charcoals very fast so also reduces smoke to light charcoals! This will be pack easier and be perfect for my camping mini-g...

Terrific design and function

Gets the grill going quickly w/o lighter fluid stench.

Large capacity, quick starting

This chimney's ability to get coals ready fast is quite a bit better than the generic chimney. The problem with generics is that they took out the wire bottom and put in a perforated plate. This chimney has a wire bottom that is cone shaped and it is surprisingly fast. It is not a 5 star because of the plastic grip. It gets too hot. This is one area where the others have it right, they use a low density wooden grip and that will not transfer heat to your hand anywhere near as fast as plastic....

Worked perfectly!

Until now I could never build a good charcoal fire. With this charcoal chimney it was easy and with no lighter fluid.

This Weber Chimney Starter is very easy to use and your coals are ready quickly, this compact size is good for the smaller Weber kettle grills like the Smokey Joe.

Little Chimney

This is a little small for a Weber kettle, unless you want to do a low and slow burn than it is perfect.

Compact

Super for using less charcoal faster for cooking on my jumbo joe

Great time saver !

I got this a month or so ago. My wife and I are empty-nesters, so I have a smaller grill, but I use it a lot. I have cast iron grates, and they require a little more maintenance. With this chimney, I can get the coals going while at the same time cleaning and oiling the grill grates. Then just pour in the coals and I’m set. It’s perfect size for my grill, and heats the coals faster than in the grill. Also great for adding coals for long-cooking things like whole chickens or ribs.

Great product

Have an old one which worked fine, but decided it was time to get a new one. Cannot say enough great things about this. Awesome product and company.

Great little charcoal starter

This starter helped a great deal in getting my charcoal lit and ready to grill

Wonderful!!

Just got mine last week, I don't know what I was waiting for. I could never get charcoal lit until now. everyone should have one of these!!!

The compact chimney is the perfect size for starting coils in my WSM.

So easy to use!

This makes lighting charcoal so much easier, no mess at all.
