A necessity for any new (or old) basement

I bought this a month ago when we moved to our new home specifically for the basement. Since it was newly built, the basement air had about 70% humidity which over time can cause dampness and mildew. In that month, the Waykar has brought down the humidity to the mid 40s. It has had not issues and just keeps humming along. It is convenient that a garden hose can be hooked up to the back of it and the pulled water drain into the sump pump crock.

Very fast and effective at dehumidifying whole basement.

I've been using this in my larger basement and it has pulled out all of the extra moisture. Highly recommend.

Efficient and quiet

I purchased the 30 pint dehumidifier for its efficiency and low sound output. It exceeded my expectations. I had an issue with it after 1 year of continuous operation. We purchased 2. Totally has eliminated to moisture and damp feeling in our church. Would definitely recommend getting the one with the pump. We set them on auto, put drain hose in sink and let them do their job. Happy customer.

Waykar 150 pint dehumidifier

The Waykar 150 pint dehumidifier certainly helped keep our home at or just under 50% RH for over a year. I had some problems with the unit after a year, and Waykar swiftly accessed the issue and honored their warranty to replace the unit.

Works great

Very pleased with how well the dehumidifier works. I have had several over the years and this one although it does have move capacity then earlier units to work significantly better at lowering the humidity. It runs smoothly as well.

Great Features and Service

Bought this product a year ago. When it works it is a great product, Especially with removing the moisture from the air and the pump is a great plus so that you don’t have to constantly empty the tank. I have had some issues the product, but the company has been helpful in addressing. I recommend their service.

Good machine, only bad thing is giving out warm ai

The product was easy to put together and operate. My big complaint is machine gives out warm air which makes the room warmer. I have used other brands, none gave out warm air. Also this machine tripped a circuit breaker a few times from the same outlet. I now plugged it into an outlet of a different breaker and so far ok keeping my figures crossed. My house electrical is only six years old, permitted and inspected by city.

Worked well at first but developed a frost problem

I purchased this dehumidifier in May 2026 and was very happy with its performance initially. It worked well for about three months and kept the humidity in my basement under control. Unfortunately, after about three months, it stopped collecting water and began blowing warm air while the humidity reading remained around 49%. When I checked the back of the unit, I found a significant amount of frost buildup. The unit was being used in a wide-open area of my basement and was emptied regularly, so...

Less humidity

Been using this dehumidifier for a month now and it works great. Reduces the humidity level by about 20% in the entire house. Runs quite and gravity flow or pump drain work gteat.

Great Features

I got this unit about 3 months ago after checking a few brands and this one made the top list for visual and performing features, it comes with pump and bucket. I have it in the basement and it does a great job, it keeps the humidity level at bay between 40/50, have it set at 45. it made a big difference, air is fresher and dryer, the fan it's not loud. I am really happy with it. I hope it lasts.

Effective and efficient indoors

Great dehumidifier that is very effective at drying out a room. I use this to keep my living area dry at night when the AC is turned down. I have used both the continuous drain and the water tank, and both work well. Also, I believe the appliance is quite energy efficient (as my electric bills have not changed much even with daily use) and the product does not take up much space. Highly recommend if you live in a humid area like me.

Nice unit

It has been up and running for about a month and works wonderfully! Perhaps the only bit of a problem is sliding the tray back in. I haven’t quite mastered the smooth transition needed.
