What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the dramatic color transformation and ease of application, with many noting the final matte finish exceeds expectations despite the dark, muddy wet appearance. Coverage is impressive—reviewers report single quarts covering large areas. However, significant frustration exists around color accuracy, with many finding the wet paint appears drastically darker than the final result, and some feeling misled by online swatches. Several report texture inconsistencies, describing the finish as gritty or chalky. Despite these concerns, most customers remain satisfied with the final appearance and recommend the product for its transformative results.

Would Not RecommendI decided to try this even thought other reviews weren’t great. Turns out they were right. This paint is mostly just latex paint and comes out extremely flat. I could have just used a normal latex paint. Definitely don’t waste your money like I did, listen to the reviews.
Best results when using two coats
Would RecommendToo expensive but worth every dollar!
It’s easy to apply.
Would RecommendI liked how nice and different it looked. Remind me when I was down in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and a lot of houses that similar paint finish.
It's just matte latex paint.
Would Not RecommendSpend the extra $25 and get a bucket of proper roman clay (eg Portola brand). There may be stone powder in this stuff but the latex base overpowers any aspect of it. What you get is just flat regular paint, no texture or lime effect. Picture is Spanish Red over primed drywall using a coarse brush. Troweling could look better but I'm just switching to Portola.
Lime Paint
Would RecommendVery good paint. When it went on wet I wasn't sure because it was dark and somewhat transluscent and muddy. After it dried I was amazed how good the finish looked-opaque, matte, very nice.
Love it!
Would RecommendDried white.
Would Not RecommendThe color swatch shown online isn’t accurate. I purchased color #13, Marcona. It literally dried white. Theres no difference from the primer and the limewash I put on. My husband walked into the room after it dried and didn’t even realize that I had painted. The pictures are after two coats. A waste of money honestly.
Exquisite!
Would RecommendThe texture of this paint is like clay. Dries very beautifully. It was exactly what I was looking for. Bought the smaller one to test the colour, and I was able to do two and a half coats on one wall. I will be buying the 5 gallon to complete my project.
