What Customers Are Saying
Customers report mixed results, with most praising the dramatic transformation after drying and ease of application, though many express frustration with color accuracy. Reviewers note the paint appears dark and muddy when wet but dries to a soft, elegant matte finish that often exceeds expectations. Many highlight excellent coverage, with one quart covering entire fireplace surrounds. However, a substantial group criticizes the mismatch between online color swatches and actual product, describing the dried result as flat and lacking the dimensional depth of authentic limewash. Some report texture inconsistency between batches. Despite these concerns, most customers find the final appearance worthwhile.

Would Not RecommendI decided to try this even thought other reviews weren’t great. Turns out they were right. This paint is mostly just latex paint and comes out extremely flat. I could have just used a normal latex paint. Definitely don’t waste your money like I did, listen to the reviews.
Best results when using two coats
Would RecommendToo expensive but worth every dollar!
It’s easy to apply.
Would RecommendI liked how nice and different it looked. Remind me when I was down in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and a lot of houses that similar paint finish.
It's just matte latex paint.
Would Not RecommendSpend the extra $25 and get a bucket of proper roman clay (eg Portola brand). There may be stone powder in this stuff but the latex base overpowers any aspect of it. What you get is just flat regular paint, no texture or lime effect. Picture is Spanish Red over primed drywall using a coarse brush. Troweling could look better but I'm just switching to Portola.
Love it!
Would RecommendIt takes 7-10 days to get
Would RecommendThe paint color is exactly what I was looking for however the only issue is that it takes so many days to receive it! I’m not sure why this paint is not in stock
Dried white.
Would Not RecommendThe color swatch shown online isn’t accurate. I purchased color #13, Marcona. It literally dried white. Theres no difference from the primer and the limewash I put on. My husband walked into the room after it dried and didn’t even realize that I had painted. The pictures are after two coats. A waste of money honestly.
Exquisite!
Would RecommendThe texture of this paint is like clay. Dries very beautifully. It was exactly what I was looking for. Bought the smaller one to test the colour, and I was able to do two and a half coats on one wall. I will be buying the 5 gallon to complete my project.
