Customers overwhelmingly praise the paint samples for enabling confident color decisions. Most highlight perfect color matching, excellent coverage, and smooth application, with many noting one coat provides full opacity. Reviewers celebrate the sample size as ideal for testing colors in real lighting conditions before purchasing full gallons. A small number report color discrepancies between samples and in-store chips, and a few mention needing two coats on darker surfaces. Overall, customers find the samples invaluable for eliminating guesswork in color selection.

Would RecommendDidn't care for the adhesion to surface, must have a fine sanded finish, didn't adhere straight over old finish. Was great to only get a small amount to "test" before buying in quantity.
Good for craft projects
I buy the samples to use in my craft projects. I don’t need to have a lot so the samples work well for me. Especially those which have been mis tinted.
Pricy but helpful
Would RecommendPaint samples are nice but they charge too dang much for them

Lowe’s paint samples are the best! I was able to find the matching color to what the previous owner had painted & do some touch up work.
Samples are expensive
I bought a house that needed every square inch painted. I wanted to get more samples to make sure I was making the right choice however I was a little shocked at the price of the samples. It's a bit much considering the amount of paint you actually use from the sample bottle. I was going to get 4 samples but ended up with 2 just because of the price.
