You need to use the entire length, can not be cut.

Easy to install, had to buy tie wraps to secure it place. The five year warranty is great.

ROPE LIGHTS ARE GREAT!

We have a long driveway with chain link fencing along one side. We have tied the rope light to the fence at about 4' height to light up at dusk and shut off at about midnight. Really helps to see where we are going in the dark. Especially good for trick-or-treaters. The Doberman keeps out unwanted people, lol.

Lights may not light even when new!

Nice long ropelight but one section has a short and so 12 inches doesnt stay on when lit!

Working exactly as promised.

The rope lights are being used outside and are withstanding the sun and heat. I hooked a second strand to them and it was a simple process.

LED Rope Lights - spectacular

Purchased 210 feet of these rope lights to replace the old rope light set. Great brilliance and really lights up the deck.

Only problem packaging was very disappointing to me and Lowe’s employees

Can NOT add strings

Bought a 48' and 18' at lowes. Needed 65'. Connectors are NOT compatible. Says that you can extend.... but you can't. I called the manufacturer.... they stated that they only make the 48' and the 18' is made by another company (although both are packaged identically as "Utilitech".

This rope light cannot be dimmed so I had to return it.

Can't connect a 48ft & 16ft strand-different ends

So....if it works they look awesome. The first 48 foot strand we hung up had a whole section in the middle that didn't work. Removed it and returned for set #2. We also were short about 16 additional feet for the length we wanted to span. So we bought the 48 ft and 16 ft Utilitech lights in the round plastic container. Both containers say linkable up to 150 ft. However..... the connectors for both of these are different. In the Q&A section buried about midway through, someone answered tha...

Kept shorting out

The lights, at least the section that worked, looked fantastic. I put them outside and wove them around a terrace I have around a fire pit. Made a great glow. However, after putting them all up I plugged them in and only 2/3 of the strand lit up. I was able to fix the break in the line and then only 4/5 of the strand lit up. For the price I paid I want the whole strand to work. I brought them back to the store in hopes of exchanging them for a working one, but the store was sold out.

Good lights, but not Compatible

I purchased a set of these and they are great, you plug them in and they come on. However, I needed another 24 feet. So back to Lowes and I promptly purchased a 24’ section. Both packages state they can be expanded. I get them home to find out the connectors are different. Back to Lowes. I find another 48’ and purchased them; I figure i’ll figure out what to do with the extra length. Get these home and they are compatible at the plugs but they are a different color. Now I look online and looks...

Awesome Outdoor Lighting

I bought two strands and these lights illuminated an entire outdoor porch about 30’ long and the yard in front. Looks amazing!

Sections go out everytime I buy these.

I have had sections go out within 2 months after they have been set in place and never moved. i don't know whether to take them back to Lowes, or go through the manufacturer. I have bought 6 of these over the years and huge sections go out within 90 days. Why can't I pay $10 more and get quality materials from Utilitech? Quit cheaping out on materials. an led that never movies connected by wires that never move should never go out.

Ok product ... lights not reliable

I read reviews that mentioned the lights not working. Ordered it anyway. Checked it before I installed it .... lights worked. Installed lights. Checked them .... they worked. Plugged them in 3 hours later to see them in the dark ... one section about 3ft long quit working. Very frustrating.

wrong color

The website says they are clear, but when I got them home & plugged them it to check they were warm white. Make sure you check the box if you want warm white or clear. The item # was the same as on web site. I did return them but their were no clear ones on the shelf.
