Would RecommendI didn't have any over-head lighting in my bedroom. I bought a pole lamp and an electrical plug-in box that comes with a wall mount switch-plate. You plug the electrical box into your wall socket and then you plug your lamp into that box. It comes with a switch-plate so you can turn the lamp on and off when you enter the room. Would Not RecommendThe instructions are weak as it leads you to disassembling the unit and almost breaking it. I had to repair it before installation. But works as designed after that.
Buttons are unreliable

Finally - A Light In A Dark Room!
Would RecommendThis switch solved a long-time problem in a room for us that did not have ceiling light! I first installed a decorative hanging lamp from the ceiling and ran its cord down to an outlet where I plugged in the receiver to to the switch. I then installed this switch by the door and voila - we had light! The install took just a few minutes. Awesome.
