Used in an unorthodox way.
Versatility. I actually bought this size connector in error and had it in my car to return to Lowe's. But I was in a pinch on a fishing trip, forgetting my kill switch connector to the boat motor, so I found a way to cut a space in the metal and twist it in such as way as to not lose a day on the water fishing. So while I didn't used it for what it was meant for, it certainly came in very handy.
