What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these porch posts for perfectly matching existing columns and delivering a classic aesthetic upgrade. Most highlight the primed finish, sturdy construction, and straightforward installation as standout features. The hollow design is appreciated for lightweight handling and easy cutting. However, some report frustration with paint stencil markings that bleed through multiple coats, requiring extensive sanding and repainting. A few note quality inconsistencies, dimensional inaccuracies, and occasional defects like splits or cracks upon arrival. Despite these concerns, most customers consider the posts a worthwhile investment for restoring home curb appeal.

Standard porchcolumn. Solid and works as intended.
Would RecommendI really like the finish and the prime on this product. It is important to paint before installing and make sure you cut the top and not the bottom if you need to make an adjustment.

Buyer Beware
Would Not RecommendThese are finger jointed which separate and come apart even with a good paint job. They did not last! They are not worth buying. Not for outside use! Bad product.
Paint with Kilz first.
Would RecommendMatches what was installed on my porch 23 years ago. The warning to paint prior to installation is stamped on the post in black and is hard to cover with paint. I ended up having to paint over it with Kilz and then repainting the post.

Decent columns per price point.
Would RecommendThe only problem was quality. Had a few bad spot as that even sanding couldn't fix.

Good product that is exactly as described
Would RecommendI needed to replace a rotten post on my back porch and this was a match. The post was true and straight with only a few minor defects. It already came primed and painted well. It only needed a small amount of sanding and prep prior to painting.

Worst purchase ever - fell apart!
Would Not RecommendTwo of these columns broke in half as we were carrying them to the parking lot (we were carrying them properly). Lowe's replaced them for us, at least. The columns have been up for 8 months and have cracks through them, chunks missing, and are covered in mold! What a waste of time and money - I will now have to replace the columns all over again- another $1000 for the installation at least.
