Would Not RecommendNot good for hard ground. Blades had no cutting edges. Really had to work hard to get any results. Not good on bad backs.

Would RecommendUsed in N GA clay and rocks. Had to hold in one place to really dig in and it took a while in that clay but once it got going it really helped planting some landscape plants. Once I used it in soft dirt it really dug in and did a good job.

Would RecommendWorks well for small projects and is powerful. Much more affordable and easy to store than a tiller. Takes a little patience while it digs itself into the soil but if you go slow it works great.
