Ratings & Reviews for Trex Transcend 2-in x 6-in x 12-ft Spiced Rum Composite Deck Board Square/Solid
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this composite decking for exceptional durability and low maintenance. Most highlight its resistance to weathering, warping, rotting, and fading, with many reporting decks still looking new after years. Reviewers consistently note the elimination of staining, painting, and sealing tasks. The realistic wood grain and rich coloration closely mimic natural wood, appearing indistinguishable from real wood at a distance. Installation is generally straightforward with tongue-and-groove design and hidden fasteners. Some report minor color inconsistencies between boards or slight warping, and a few note the surface gets hot in sunlight. Despite these minor concerns, most customers remain highly satisfied and would recommend the product.

Check your boards, do not believe date estimate
There were numerous notches in the delivered product. Additionally, lowes kept pushing the delivery date back with zero explanation. This had set back the project delivery date significantly.

You get what you pay for
Would RecommendGenuine Trex decking is built with quality in mind. It may be more expensive than other brands but longevity of the product is better. Thicker substructure and more durable, outer protective layer, than less expensive brands.

I would buy again
Would RecommendBoards are nice looking and not slippery like some of the synthetic decking. I got the tiki torch for my dock. It can be really hot in the summer if there is no wind, we just got an indoor outdoor carpet runner its fine. Make sure you use tape on top of the joists before you put the deck down, this stuff is plastic and it holds in moisture against the wood, we've seen rot in treated boards in 5 years without tape.
