I bought this item with the goal of keeping my dogs off the couch. I simply put it on my cough upside down and the pokey plastic on the bottom keeps my pets off the couch. It is also easy to roll up when company or myself would like to enjoy the couch.

A Little Bit Challenging

I had an old (20+ year) clear runner that I wanted to replace due to age and discoloration. This new version was tightly rolled in its packaging and would not lay flat when I rolled it out. It kept wanting to coil itself back up. I had to put it on a sunny, warm enclosed porch with magazines for weights to hold it flat. It took almost a week before the fight was out of it. Bad Purchase Decision

This runner is so thin that it "walks" even on commercial carpet. I took it back to the store yesterday and went to Home Depot where I purchased a thicker product by the foot.

Various uses

I'm going to be honest and say I don't use this for it's intended purpose. For those with animals who refuse not to get up on the furniture, lay this stuff upside down (spikes up) across your furniture while you're gone to work or out for the day. The soft rubber spikes irritate but don't hurt pets, so they don't like to walk or lay on it, and its waterproof so if your pets are the type that likes to spray, you have an extra layer of protection you can just spray off with a hose if things get m...
