All tubes dented, hard to couple from deformity

Dented due to manufacturer poor packaging. I purchased 2 - 12", 5 - 36" and 1 - 18" double wall stainless steel chimney sections. 100% of the 36" and 1 of 2 12" sections were dented, both on the exterior cylinder and also on the female coupling end. It's clear looking at the packaging that the lack of any protection around the female ends (they are right up against the cardboard box) is a primary cause of the latter - no idea where the dents on the exterior cylinders of both the 12" and 36" s...

Product is made of good quality material, but like others have posted check to make sure it’s not dented. Mine was but that was ok for my project. It does keep the heat inside the pipe very well.

if you order these or buy them in the store, INSPECT EVERY SINGLE ONE. I read reviews before buying and a lot of people reported dented or damaged sections. I opened all of the 7 I ordered and 5/7 had dents. most were minor dents, but one I had to return as an end piece was damaged enough that it wouldnt have mated with the others. Good pipe a little pricey

better than the 8” x 36” pipe

The 6” x 36” pipe was not as fragile as the 8” x 36” I assume since it’s not as heavy. I did have a couple of pieces that had dents in them but were still useable. I hooked up my oil furnace to this chimney system and it drafts fine. I did take the chimney cap off while on the roof and notice a puddle of water in the bottom of the clean out but i’m not sure how much of a problem that will be long term.
