Ratings & Reviews for Sun Joe 4V Cordless Chemical Sprayer with 3W Motor and Battery 1 Gal SJ-APS-1G
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The cordless sprayer offers convenient, powerful, and versatile performance, with good spray coverage and no need for manual pumping. Many customers found it useful for spraying weeds, cleaning outdoor areas, and applying chemicals. However, some reported issues with the sprayer not working properly, the canister breaking, and the battery draining quickly. The wand length was also a concern for some users. The reviews suggest the sprayer can be a valuable tool when functioning as intended, but quality control and durability appear to be inconsistent.

The size and features made this an attractive alternative to my back pack sprayers. Intended use was to spray under water for aquatic weeds. It worked really well for one summer (2025) but now will not work at all. It appears the battery is not holding a charge or the pump has gone bad. Either weary, it is not a reliable product.

Have had this sprayer for years and always works. My daughter has even borrowed it. Need another for another use. Sad I have to wait.

Falls Apart
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I used it the tube sprayer fell out and I cannot get it back in. I will try gluing it. Does not run as expected.

Disappointed
Originally ordered this a year ago. After 2 uses it stopped working. Because it was still under warranty I was sent a replacement. However, straight out of the box and after charging, it’s doing the same thing. At first pretty good pressure then after a second only drips. After reading some of the other reviews I have concluded that this is just not a good product. Good concept though. I tried to include a video but the website won’t open the link.

holes in measuring cups
All of the measuring cups on these sprayers have holes in them. Bad manufacturing.

Love my new sprayer !
I just used it to spray RMR on my gutters and eves and it made the job so much easier. With the wand I could spray the gutters without getting on a ladder ! After rinsing they looked so bright and clean. Then I used up my cleaner to spray the cement patio to make that job almost effortless! So glad I bought this sprayer !! Easy to use , easy to charge !

Big flop
Lasted all of one month then nothing. Save your money

Poor/Cheap Design
Very poor/cheap design. While using it the motor will vibrate out of position and will not engage the pump gear to pump the liquid. The motor should be braced to keep in place but that would require a 2-cent bracket.

Great Sprayer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Sunjoe sprayer. I have used it inside and outside. We live deep in the woods and have all kinds of creepy crawlers. The Sunjoe made it so much easier for me to spray for them. I have nerve damage and can't lift a lot or continuously pump a trigger. This sprayer is the perfect size and sprays automatically. I would recommend this device.

A Good Sprayer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sun Joe cordless all purpose sprayer works great. I love that it’s rechargeable and you don’t have to manually pump it up or connect it to a water hose. It’s a great size and not too heavy when full. If you need it , it comes with a handy shoulder strap. The nozzle can spray a jet or mist and you can attach the wand to the handle of the sprayer and use it, or it has a short hose that gives you some options for getting it into harder to reac...

Great Product!
Have had this 3 years now. Saves my hand and back. Use it for weed control. Sorry it is out of stock. Looking for one for my liquid fertilizers for my gardens. Love this little machine. Bought one last year for one of my kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cordless all purpose sprayer works amazing. It's easy to fill up the liquid and easy to carry with me to go spray. 1gallon is amazing for me, it's not too heavy. I would highly recommend it for everyone
