Ratings & Reviews for Sta-Green Precision Broadcast Spreader 20-lb Capacity Compatible with Ice Melt, Fertilizer, Seed

Worked

Got the job done

Too expensive for the quality

Lawn Spreader

Just bought this and using it for the first time. In comparison to the other brand Lowe's sells, this seems sturdier and more able to do the job. For those like us with smaller lawns but enough space that using a hand-held version would make the chore tedious, this does the work quickly and effortlessly at a small cost. I recommend it.

Great machine

Excellent machine, light weight and does a great job.

Works great.

This thing works great. Planted my food plots for deer with this

Lowes is horrible

Received a broken, filthy, used item delivered to my home Absolutely ridiculous

Kinda Cheap, not what I expected.

Purchased this spreader to spread triazicide granules. Unit works as intended but the open/close mechanism does not close all the way causing it to leave a solid trail of granules where you don’t intend to. Poor broadcast spreading ability. I would get another brand of better quality. Solid construction, easy to assemble, and the dial setting is a nice feature so 3 stars.

Delivered used item

The item is ok, not the best quality, but the worst thing is that it was delivered dirty, partially functional and in rough shape.

Sent a used one?

Right out of the box ... Lowes you're better than this...but it does work okay.

Terrible Condition

Item delivered in awful condition. It was dirty and rusted all over.

Good capacity & very Efficient

Great product! I purchased it a few weeks ago. Extremely satisfied with the spread pattern. Nice & even coverage.

Came dirty or used

Picked this up curbside, when I got home it was dirty and had loose dirt / gravel / etc in it. Looks like it might have been a rental or used and returned and they sold it “new” and also neglected to do even a basic cleaning / spray down with water before selling to a customer.

Spreads great.

Consistency, coverage, capacity

Do not buy

Product is supposed drop from the hopper onto the plate that spins when the wheels turn and broadcasts the granules across the lawn. Instead, it throws it against the inside of the right wheel, then drops in a straight line onto the grass. So much dropped in a line, it burned out the grass. I returned it to the store.

Uneven spread

Product spreads seed/fertilizer 80% straight out front and maybe 10% on each side. When the seed grows or fertilizer kicks in, you see the lines it made.
