GFCI Failed Catastrophically!
Would Not RecommendI installed several of these several months ago and all has seemed fine until today when one of the GFCI outlets started clicking rapidly with nothing plugged into it or it's protected outlets and a strong electric odor filled the air. The circuit breaker tripped after a few seconds and I removed and took apart the outlet to find that the outlet had shorted and killed itself internally on the board. This was a very dangerous failure of a device designed to protect against this sort of issue.

Great safety feature

This receptacle was so easy to install, and perfect for the updates we’re working on in our 1920s house. Instructions were straightforward, easy to follow. This is a great, easy way to update old outlets! I like that it has the reset button on it, and safety features.
