Candle hole set
Would RecommendBought this and a similalr 7/8 in bit to use in combination for making candle holes in turned candle sticks. You use a grinding wheel to equally taper the 15/16 bit to about 3/4 inch cutting head. To make the holei, frst drill a 7/8 hole about 1/2 deep, then follow with the tapered 15/16 to make the hole 3/4 - 7/8 in deep. Works as a set.

Seemingly harmless, this tool is dangerous.
Would Not RecommendThe screw on the end is FAR too active. It grabs the wood out of the vice if the stock isn't tghtended and twirls it. I still have a mark where the stock hit me. Very poor engineering. Buy an Irwin instead. You'll have much better control.

Would RecommendI somehow promptly lose this bit right after purchase. But, I think it would've worked!

Stinger makes a good product… I purchased there spade bit sets in the past and purchased single bits to replace any worn out ones… I get a good life out of each

This was not in framing or any other large media, but a 2"x2"x3/4" hardwood block, which had been glued to a larger piece. The auger bit tip pulled the bit into the wood so fast and with such force that it broke the glue joint, ripped the entire piece from my hand and split the 2x2 block in two. I clamped the two pieces together to finish the hole, which wound up being not qui...
