What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this screw extractor, with most praising its dual-function design for removing stripped screws quickly and cleanly on medium to large fasteners in softer materials. However, many report significant failures when tackling rusted, hardened, or stainless steel screws, with bits snapping or failing to grip properly. Success heavily depends on technique—users who followed instructions and used penetrating oil reported better results, while those applying excessive force or using impact drivers often experienced failure. Some question material quality, citing cheap carbon steel and durability concerns. Overall, most find it effective for suitable applications, though many remain frustrated by its unreliability on tougher fasteners.

Would RecommendThese worked great to grab and remove some deck screws that the heads stripped out. Purchased this brand for its known quality and durability. Purchased from Lowes due to selection and price.
Great quality
Would RecommendI purchased after a large screw head that was securing my daughter's desk to the wall broken off when I was removing. It worked great and removed the screw from the wall with ease.
Worked as expected

Terrible
Would Not RecommendI bought this for one stubborn stripped screw. It was a waste of time and money. I was really hoping it would work but it didn’t help at all.
Fundamentally Poor
Would Not RecommendBought this to remove a couple of 2” square head screws from a deck rail. They just don’t work on outdoor screws that have been in the wood for any period of time. The “biting” thread doesn’t bite into the old screw well enough to grab it. Couldn’t even pull out a snapped screw which is loose because it doesn’t bite into it. Basically a waste of $20 and a gallon of gas to go to the store.
Did Not Work
Would Not RecommendThis tool may be useful for some stripped screws, but it didn’t work, not even a little bit (no pun intended), on a deeply imbedded wood screw, despite the claim that it would.
Works well!
Would RecommendWorked as advertised. Had to go a size up to extract screw.
These are garbage
Would Not RecommendDon't waste your money. I had two screws locked into a shelf bracket and the holes were basically just flat circles. I got this and first neither of the four fit. #3 was to small and #4 was WAY to big. I put the smaller one in closest to fitting and it just spun around doing nothing. I flipped it and the same thing happened. I then decided to use a 1/4 drill bit to drill a bigger hole to fit the bigger of the bits and the same thing. Just spins doing nothing and the other side doesn't bite. Easy...
Right Tool for the Right Job
Would RecommendOrdering and pickup were effortless. I've come to realize for my particular application, I will need a specific drill bit and OG easy-out.
Worked
Would RecommendThese worked for 90 percent of the deck screws I needed removed. They do wear out so depending on how many screws you need to remove you may need to buy 2 sets.
Great in a pinch
Would RecommendHelped get out a stripped screw from the 90s
Does nothing
Would Not RecommendThese do not work, at all.
