Great line for overgrowth

Solid trimmer line

This is really good trimmer line, doesn’t wear too fast and can handle hitting other objects. I hit the house foundation many times with it and it didn’t break. Would recommend.

Softer than tissue paper panties

I have never had a roll of string line suck this bad. On 100’ of fence I burned through 50’ of string . I have used other string and weedwacked this area a lot. The string melted to itself 10 times Terrible . Do not recommend.

Sticks together

Seems to get hot, then soften, and stick together. That stops it from feeding out of my STIHL weed trimmer.

Durable Multicolor Trimmer Line

As far as trimmer line goes this rates on the higher end of those I've used. It's fairly durable, regular round shape, and multiple colors. In my book there are two main things that count when it comes to trimmer line. Durability = This line is thick and sturdy. Cutting efficiency = This usually comes from texture of the string, this one doesn't have much. It's smooth but still cuts well enough at speed, just not too notch.

Not universal

I was not able to install this product on my Stihl weed trimmer because of the shape of the arbor. It does not come with a proper adapter for newer Stihl weed trimmers. Also the plastic is rather cheap and seems like it will break easily. Plastic will get stained easily as well.

Update from June 12, 2026

I was sent replacement line a couple of weeks after my review. The new line has a different feel (more flexible and a waxy feel) than the spool I was having all the trouble with. The replacement line performance is outstanding. I just finished 100 yards of overgrown ditch bank(3-4’ tall field grass, a few weeds and an occasional wire fence hit) and 200 yards of lighter coverage ditch/fence line. I had no breaks, no reload and less than expected induced line feed. I highly recommend it. Thanks!

Nice speed bump head with string

Received this speed head , opened up and pleasantly surprised . Nice easy to read instructions and pictures. All kinds of attachments to install on multiple brands of trimmers . Less than 5 minutes to install . String feeds great work just as good as worn out oem head on trimmer. Great replacement.

Spreads thick vegetation

This trimmer line is super heavy duty for taking down tough vegetation. Cutting with this line was significantly different from the thinner line I was originally using. Great value for a heavy duty line that’ll get the job done. Cool colors too!

Recommend!

Did the meteor take out the dinosaurs? No, savage supreme trimmer string chopped them down! Got this product to help with longevity of weed eating. I used to go through string like it was a fresh banana split at a county fair, but now with the durability of the savage trimmer line that’s no longer the case. Durable, and gives a better runtime for trimming while not wearing down as fast as the other brands.

Not as tough as expected

Didn’t last long on the trimmer. Just a couple of minutes and it was gone. Maybe I needed a thicker line. Just was impressed with it’s strength
