Great wire and it is really easy to strip

I needed some underground wire for my shop that I just built. I saw south wires quick strip and thought I would give it a with a try. Man am I happy! It was easy to run and a much noticeable difference in how easy it was to strip and get the wires connected in my junction boxes. Greta purchase!

Great improvement upon existing UFB wire

This product was super simple to use. Just make a small cut between each of the wire stands and pull apart as needed to connect the wires. It’s a little more rigid than regular romex as it is made for underground burial with each strand of wire having 2 layers of insulation but the ease of pulling and stripping the wires makes it simple to work with. I tried to upload a video to show its ease of use but it wouldn’t upload.

Perfect for outdoor lighting

I have my husband setting up the outside of our home to add a light for the door under our deck. It is to be attached to my generator, so it will have no issue functioning even if there is loss of power. It is a large roll with plenty of wire for our project. The way the wire is setup, it makes it easy install and use as needed.

Great wire

Thanks to Lowe's for sending me this wire! While UF B is certainly harder to work with it wasn't as bad of a time as I've had with other UF B wire brands. Stripping it wasn't too much harder than NM B wire and there wasn't much noticeable difference in being able to maneuver it.

Absolutely reccomended

We chose to add an electrical outlet and lighting to our storage shed with this Southwire Qwikstrip underground feeder cable. It came in white and is very easy to use and strip. 250 ft comes to a roll and it is type uf-b 14/2 with ground rated for 600 watts. Very pleased with this product.

A much needed improvement to UF-B wire

Anyone who has worked with standard UF-B knows that stripping the jacket can be one of the most frustrating parts of the job. This Qwik-strip design is a real improvement. The jacket is still heavy duty like you would expect from underground feeder cable, but the way it is designed makes getting to the conductors much easier and more controlled. Not Sure What the Improvement Is..

This stuff is hard to get through 3/4 flexible conduit. Stripping seems to be a little harder than the standard grey UF-B. If I had the choice I'd go back with standard Grey. This stuff is wider and less easy to feed through your conduit. Jacket seems very tough but the old stuff holds up good.

Lighting only.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wire would be easy to use around landscapes bogs or other outside lighting. Only use for 20 amp lighting. It has good coating to protect from water.

It's good wire

This new 12/2 electric cable came in handy at the right time. I’ve been needing to add lights in my garage but hiring an electrician is way too expensive. After doing a little research and watching videos, I was able to run the electric and wire the lights. The cable was easy to strip and connect both at the light and at the light switch.

High quality and easy to use

Used this roll to drop a new outlet in my garage. Very high quality and super easy to work with. It made the install painlessly easy. I will bee using it again for future projects.

An improvement but not a perfect solution

This product has significant advantages over traditional wiring. Not having to cut and remove the outer jacket is a plus but more often than not you’re going to need a knife or razor blade to start it each time with a quick snip to allow you to separate the wires enough to get a firm grip and strip them apart. Outdoor rated wire easy to work with

I got this wire to run some electrical outlets to my gazebo. It was nice to have outdoor rated wire. It was easy to strip back, and worked just like other 12/2 wire. It made it extra nice as it blended with the gazebo. Now I can plug in my smoker, add lighting and the ability to plug in., next step is adding fans to my Gazebo.

Huge time saver with no frustration.

Game changer! This is SO much easier to work with than traditional UF cable. It strips very easily with no damage to inner layer of insulation. I will be using this for underground work from now on.

Less mess and easy to work with

The first time I’ve used this product I was very impressed. It does not have the extra jacket on the outside of the wire. The ground wire has a smaller sleeve on it so you can keep track of which is the ground. It’s nice not having to have that extra piece of trash to clean up once you’re done stripping  the wire.  I am anxious to see how it holds up when pulling the wire to see if it snags. So far though it’s very easy to work with I like it. It’s definitely a quality product.

Quality underground rated wire

This is the perfect wire to run underground permanent power to my kids playhouse and an entertainment shed that I am currently building.. 250 ft should be more than enough to complete both.

Great Romex

Very easy to strip, can just grab it with pliers or strippers and it easily separates like speaker wire would. I find it more flexible than normal romex. Packaging shows what is the hot, neutral and ground as well. Wire are color coded like normal romex as well.

Meets the specs and easy to use

Meets the specs! 250 ft of 14 gauge copper wire should measure ~0.63 ohms I measured this wire at 0.5 ohms so that’s better than code spec. 14 gauge wire is OK at 15amps but not really advisable at 250ft because of 12.6v drop at 120v and 15amps keep your run shorter or get a thicker gauge for longer runs.
