Would RecommendSimspon foundation straps work well for their intended purpose. I do wish that it would have tips on the types of nails or structural screws to use written on a label on the strap though.

Always handy to have around
Would RecommendSimpson ties are always great! Bought this with the intention of MacGyvering it into something, but went another direction. I'll keep it around though, these things always come in handy.

Good at holding pieces of wood together.
Would RecommendThis will get the project done, but you should know that it's pretty malleable. While it definitely holds wood together, and helps for adjoining pieces at an obtuse/acute angle, it won't keep things straight.

Awkward but functional
We are building in a high-wind area, and used this to tie wall studs all the way to the floor joists. It worked very well for building an all around very stable shed in high wind conditions. Only down side is that the screw heads stick up a bit and the exterior wall has to hump over them.
