I love the soft-close lid and the lack of inner liner, which makes it really easy to clean. However, it did come with a small dent on the side, which seems to be a common problem based on the reviews. I personally don’t care that much because they also throw in a free pack of trash bags and an odorsorb pod, but they really need to work on the padding for the sides. I appreciate that they’re trying to be more eco-friendly, but structured cardboard is not enough to protect these trash cans.

Everything is neat, smart looking and convenient
Would Recommendthe lid to the trash can is easy to close. The kitchen trash can is larger than the ones I had before. It's easy to work with. The trash bags is in back of the trash cans so you don't have to look for a bag when you need it. It's attractive. The deodorizer is in the lid of the trash can so that it can smell good

Almost perfect
Arrived with a very small dent on the can lid that you can only see at certain angles. Don’t love the dent, but didn’t want to go through the process of making a return. I love the can and I have purchased many simplehuman products from multiple soap dispensers and too many trash cans to remember. Love all the products purchased to date and will remain a loyal customer.

Stunning
Such a beautiful trashcan. . We got the Katie Merz model, and it is stunning. Now my dogs can’t reach in and grab out trash.

Meh
Missing the blue insert which made taking heavy bags out it less difficult. Two bags have ripped while removing the garbage bag once full. The free air freshener is a waste of time. Doesn’t smell like anything Pretty disappointed to be honest. Previous one of 4-5 years pins broke so wouldn’t open.

Great step can with liner pocket
This is my second purchase of a Simplehuman can. This 55L rectangular step can with the liner pocket is much nicer, but of course more expensive.
