It fits perfectly between the wall and our bathroom countertop. It’s mechanism is silent (and soft-close). We’re still using the perfect fit bags that came with it; but I love that we’ll be able to reuse grocery bags in it.

Black lid design is different
I chose the can with the black lid over the stainless steel lid because it would blend better where I wanted to put it. Unfortunately it didn’t occur to me that Simplehuman would make a trash can that didn’t feature their slow closing lid. The description of the can does mention the difference, but who reads a detailed description of a trash can?? They really need to make it clearer in the description that the one with the black lid doesn’t have that feature.

Not as good as thier larger cans
The lid on this smaller can can't be opened in as controlled way as its larger siblings. It lurches open, which is a problem for me since it is in a tight corner and when opened too quickly it hits things around it.

Awesome Trash Can
This is the perfect size to fit between my laundry sink cabinet and washing machine. The foot press opener makes it easy to pop-up the lid when I have lint, used dryer sheets, etc. to dispose of, great design.

Like it but it keeps moving on the floor
The can is great for our bathroom narrow spot bit when stepping onto the can flipper it can and does move a heavy base bottom would solve that issue.
