This is the second of this version we've purchased. Our first is in our first home (and still is) functioning like a champ after close to a decade. Had to get another for our second home.

Love it!
Used it at a friend's condo and loved it there so ordered it after returning home. We have a small kitchen and it fits perfectly as if made for the space!

Just an excellent trash can
We are using this very sleek and well designed step can for recycling. It’s perfect and finally eliminates the overflowing grocery bags that waited to be taken to the outside bin. The butterfly lid gives us ample room for larger items. My only minor upgrade would be small handles (indents?) to pull it out when it’s time to change the bag. We have it tucked between a wall and a wine cooler. Fits and looks great but not totally easy to grab and pull out. But again a minor complaint compared to a m...

It’s a great kitchen trash can
The only issue I had was there was a dent in the back. Since it’s so hard to pack everything up to return it I chose to keep it. The dent faces the wall so I don’t see it.

Second Purchase of a great item.
We had purchased our first one roughly idk at least 10+ years ago as our chocolate lab liked to nose through the trash. Purchased a new one and still love. Would definitely recommend to anyone with large dogs. Absolute game changer.

Almost perfect - except for serial number placement
Why on earth is the permanent serial number label visible near the top of the back side of the can?? Some people with open-plan kitchens want to place this can on the side of an island (I.e. back will be seen), without the visual disturbance of a label.

My second butterfly step can!
Just moved and needed an exposed kitchen trash can. This one is large enough to handle our weekly trash needs. We also have a smaller butterfly step can in the laundry room. These cans are modern with clean lines and easy access for trash. Just step and toss. I love that I don’t need to see or smell trash as the butterfly lid takes care of both issues. Strongly recommend!

Well worth the price
I ordered this SimpleHuman butterfly-open kitchen can to finally replace an old Rubbermaid can. While the expense was much more than other kitchen cans, I felt it was justified by the expected long life it affords me. I expect it to be the last kitchen can I ever need to buy, and will leave it to my daughter after ai no longer have my own home. I’m very pleased with it. Thanks for producing such a superior product!
