Composting and good design

The Caddy is small and works as a daily compost regime. It is well designed and fits nicely on the counter.

No serial number provided

Told I am not able to register this product. Nice dark black color. Opens and closes well. Bag fit well. Hooks onto the side of the trash can. Not happy I can not register this. I might return it. I want the full warrenty which is in the high price.

What a useful item!

As usual with Simplehuman, this is engineered with precision: the magnetized lid that easily stays open, the convenient bin, the solid way it attaches to my trash bin. Had I realized what an improvement this would be over my countertop container, I would have bought this sooner. Highly recommend.

Compost solution

This is a great compost bin for the kitchen. It attaches onto the trash can, even though I have an older model of Simple Human recycle/trash can. It won’t go on the side of mine, but it will hook right on the front. Works for me.

Not bug proof

The claim that it seals tightly enough to keep out fruit flies is so inaccurate. There are visible gaps between the bin and the lid. Very disappointed.

Does not seal

Bought this compost caddy thinking it would be sleek and easy to use, but the “magnetic seal” does not actually seal. We’ve had it for a couple months now and it is constantly infested with flies.

Wonderful Item, Care Could've Been Better

The bin itself is everything I expected. It wasn't until after I walked out the door that I realized the gaping hole at the bottom of the box. It appeared that most of the damage happened to the layers of cardboard. Unfortunately, I did find a ding at the bottom of the bin. I'm not mad with the product itself. I'm just disappointed with the treatment of the product. On a positive note, the employee who assisted me with the pickup was very helpful and super friendly to me.

Looked Great, but Maggots!

We used the bin with the compostable liners and were shock to find that when we went to empty it 8 days later, it was crawling with maggots!

This caddy is an asset to my kitchen and to composting. It's the perfect size, and I love having bags to keep the container clean. Clean-up after composting is minimal. As a senior, I like how low-maintenance the whole process is.

Doesn't keep out fruit flies

Product description says it keeps pests like fruit flies from being attracted. It does not. It is not airtight and mine has fruit flies swarming around it. It is very attractive, but the product description is not accurate.

Cute on the Counter!

It’s nice to have found a compost container that actually looks attractive. The easy flip top lid makes using it a breeze.
