Would RecommendNever used a sharkbite before!! Lowes associate told me how! Make sure you clean the old copper well, mark 1” to ensure the sharkbite is seated and you will feel two bumps as you press it on!! Took longer to clean than install. 15 minutes tops and no leaks after a month!

Would RecommendUpdate from 7/20/219 review- Had an issue with black junk coming out in garden tub. David from SharkBite (RCW) ask me to contact him, He determined that I had an older model that had been updated with improved rubber lining. He sent me replacement hoses as well as a removal tool at no cost. installed them and everything is working great. It is great to see a company that will stand behind there product.

Would RecommendI actually used the two SharkBite 18-in 1/2 Push-to-Connect Inlet x 3/4 Fip Outlet Braided Stainless Steel Water Heater Connectors for a different application than intended; as replacements for the hot and cold water lines to the faucet on a claw foot tub. The fitting guaranteed a secure fit to the faucet while the the shark-bit held firm to the 1/2" CPVC pipe coming from the floor.

Would Not Recommendused the sharkbite to connect a new hot water heater. when the hot water is turned on to the garden tub black residue comes out for about 10 seconds and then clears up. major pain having to catch it in a bucket every time we use the tub.
