Oatey Box BETTER Design
Would Not RecommendCannot have drain in the middle between the two valves. Most have valves on top and drain on bottom if drain is in middle. Oatey let's all three lines come in from bottom. Much better designed box. Took Sharkbite back and got Oatey Box.
Awesome solution to a non-std plumbing problem
Would RecommendNeeded a solution for a burst pipe caused by faulty original piping. The sharkbite solution worked perfectly. See photo to grasp the problem. Sorry for the horizontal view. Photo will not display vertically.

Easy for those who don't solder or sweat piping
Would RecommendI understand basic plumbing but have never mastered sweating fittings. The SharkBite line of fittings is excellent for people like me and this kit was a good replacement for our 25 yr old rusting box and corroding valves. First, this box and valves are smaller than others. My picture includes an American valve previously purchased in the back right corner, for scale. The box does seem flimsy but installed without issue. This is our experience with using this as a replacement in a finished laund...

Would RecommendIt's only problem is that it is a little bit light weight and I worry about it's durability. I did not manage to break it, however! Not bad to install.

Would RecommendI like this setup because its easy to use with the push fit connections. The box is a little flimsy until you get the drywall in around it. Overall its a nice product that makes connecting a washer easy.
