Would RecommendI was replacing my water heater with a new one and was told about the SharkBite. I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. It made hooking up my new water heater a breeze. No need to redo any of the plumbing. I just slid the SharkBite over the existing PVC pipes and...Tada!!!! Simple enough for anyone to use.

Easy on and no leaks...
Easy to put on the existing plumbing and no leaks on either end. Far superior to old fittings I removed. The in-line shut off valve is a big plus too. I sat the removal tool on top of one of the fittings to keep it from getting lost over time.

Would RecommendHad to replace water heater with leaking tank. We have CPVC lines and seemed like there were leaks everywhere. I've replaced toilets and sinks without issues but this time I had the worst luck. I couldn't get my connections to stop leaking at the water heater nipples and even had a leak in a CPVC elbow joint. (Probably got impatient after messing with this thing for a couple days). Then I found this product. It was hard to push it on to the depth required so don't be afraid to really shove on it...
