Would RecommendConnects perfectly to the old outlawed Poly-B tubing used 30 years ago. It has the grey end, will not work on other pipes.

Replacing
Would RecommendI had been looking to replace what was there, but this seemed to fill the bill. Valve handle was somewhat stiff, but it does the job.

double check valve
Common sense would be for the valve to be shut off when installing so one doesn’t flood their bathrm. Now, when it needs to be replaced? How? With a metal cuter? And the plastic piece that goes over it is just a joke. Look at pics on instructions between 4-5 steps - 1 pic has plastic cover 1 direction, other pic has plastic cover in other direction. Smdh be careful.

stuck valve
Would Not RecommendI have used a lot of sharkbite fittings throughout my house and this was the first one I didn't like. the shutoff valve was stuck and the only way I got it to move was to take the knob off and use pliers to turn the inside valve (with some effort). I didn't realize I needed a longer connecting hose for my toilet. Was just going to get a new supply line and leave the valve, but there is no way to get the water line off of the valve (I tried). very disappointed in this purchase
