Ratings & Reviews for Shakespeare Ugly twist 0.095-in x 125-ft Bulk reel Trimmer Line

Cuts clean!

First time using twisted line and it works very well. The line is more durable than others which has reduced the need to continually bump for more line.

Best trimmer line ever

This line fed out smoothly. It never bound up. It cuts great. I don’t think I’ll ever have to take the head apart in the middle of yard work again.

Previous solid brite green Ugly Twist was AWESOME

Don't BUY!!! HORRIBLE on anything but thin delicate grass and weeds. This used to be a bright green line with twists which worked awesome, could get 2 - 4 aH uses from 12' of line through thick and woody mustard weed and some hard pack desert ground scraping to completely eliminate mustard weed!  This newest grey/green one is causing CONSTANT bump feed issues, barely get 15' with ONE 4 aH use and struggles to cut through avg size mustard weed, forget trying thick or woody! Too brittle. I want th...

I like the fact that it has a way to cut it attached to it.

Easy to rope into spool.

This does a great job on my heavy duty trimmer and holds up better than most types.

Long lasting

This trimmer line is the longest lasting line I've ever used!

Tough line

This works better and lasts longer than the usual single filament line. In fact, it's way better than the one I was using.

too long

i have a stihl fs 90 and per stihl instructions i cut the line to 33 feet for both sides. starting to wind i found that 33 feet was too long wasting about 13 feet each side. i will use the 13 feet but will have to wind more since 13 feet will not last very long

Worst trim line ever !

Love Shakespeare ugly line but this ugly twist is the Worst thing I’ve ever put on a trimmer. You use twice as much than the regular ugly line and suppose to have to use less. Can’t find the right tightness, it sticks up no matter how you put it on. Bought one 230 foot roll and as soon as it’s gone I’ll go back to the regular ugly line. Would’ve gave it zero stars but it wouldn’t let me submit that.

Good in theory only

I tried to use this as replacement string for my line trimmer. From the packaging it seemed like a nice product and a good idea but it didn't work well. The line didn't cut any better or last any longer than standard trimmer line but the bigger problem is that it kept getting bound up when I tried to bump it to feed more line. I rewound it a couple of times and fought with it for a while before I went back to using standard string line (Shakespeare .95) and it worked great.

Great line.

Very strong line Best line I've ever used going to buy a extra roll just in case.
