Would Not RecommendThe bump knob disintegrated the third time I was using it and the string keeps catching after you try and load it, which is a fun proposition
Wore out quickly
Would Not RecommendI purchased this June 2026. It's August 10 and the bump knob is completely worn out. I don't use my trimmer commercially, only my yard and a couple rental properties.

EHHHH
Would Not RecommendTrying to install on a Bolens BL160. Directions very vague. Was told by Lowes garden center and Google that this head would fit and work on my model, although my model is not listed on the package. Could not get it mounted properly no matter what parts I used and in which order per directions. Cannot find any videos to assist.

cheap plastic
Would Not RecommendPlastic tab broke off on install. Directions are terrible. Stick with your original weed eater manufacturers replacement.

Time consuming to thread
Learning how to thread the line, instructions were not clear and the pictures were very small. After figuring it out, each time I rethread the line, it's still difficult to feed it through the head. Instructions say to straighten out the end of the line - good luck with that!! Even raking the line across my knife blade (like curling/straightening ribbon on a scissors) won't straighten it enough. You have to twist the line around quite a bit to get it to pass through to the exit port.

The threads on the shaft are left handed. Turn lef
You don’t have to disassemble to reload the string. Just align the arrows on the bump shaft, insert the string into one hole until it comes out the other side, then pull it through until there are equal lengths from each hole, then just wind the string into it. It’s extremely easy to reload. Extremely inexpensive
