You don’t have to disassemble to reload the string. Just align the arrows on the bump shaft, insert the string into one hole until it comes out the other side, then pull it through until there are equal lengths from each hole, then just wind the string into it. It’s extremely easy to reload. Extremely inexpensive

Would not fit the Kobalt 80V trimmer as sold
Would Not RecommendThe employee who assisted me in locating and purchasing the product stated the universal piece would work on my Kobalt 80V trimmer. It would not fit. There were no Kobalt parts available to the trimmer at the Southern Pines Lowes therefore I purchased the Shakespeare product that was recommended by the Lowes employee. Did not work. None of the bolts included would fit the purchased product.

Do not buy if you want it for Kobalt 24V Max
Would Not RecommendNot “universal” if you use Kobalt. I have the 24V max and none of the attachments worked for it. Quick google said many others had issues with this same weedwacker. Lowe’s didn’t have the Kobalt version in stock, and it was the garbage bump and go, so i switched to E-GO. Likely never buying another Kobalt brand device. Seems predatory that the universal fits everything besides Lowe’s own brand.
