Modify your cap.

The detergent is fine as far as I can tell for cleaning. My complaint is with the cap as I have seen others also state. The measurement indicators are difficult to see with my 65 year old eyes; even with my glasses on. The bottle instructions advise putting the cap into the wash is ridiculous.Who would ever do that? What an annoyance to fish the cap before putting the clothes into the dryer. It is easier to just wipe out the residue with a piece of laundry. Or how about this, just design the bot...

Awful cap - still - after 3 years??

I bought this based on recommendation from a dry cleaner who rates detergents on instagram. the detergent seems to be fine. no issues. but the CAP is AWFUL. there's no place for the tiny bit that's left inside to drip back into the bottle, so it runs down the side of the cap base, the bottle and the shelf or wherever the bottle is placed. Detergent all over my hand when I touch the bottle. I've looked through reviews and see many other complaints. Apparently this was a redesign THREE YEARS ago?...

Great for Sensitive Skin and Noses

My family has some members with sensitive noses so we like this free and clear laundry detergent. It gets clothes clean without perfumes. The bottle is easy to pour, and it's become our go-to. I also like that Seventh Generation is a more eco friendly company.

Works great for sensitivities

I had to use this product when my children were very little and it worked spectacularly. My children as babies were very sensitive to other laundry soap, so this was a lifesaver..

Easy pouring

Not a huge fan of this brand but it does not seem to negatively affect my families sensitive skin! I do like that this product has a handle for easy pouring!

I really like this brand! We would use this for sensitive skin people when id have to wash clothes at my old job! There’s not a scent for this and it leaves no residue on towels!

Better for you and your clothes

Great product. Does not contain plastics like big brands do. No fragrance so less allergens and overall value is great. Clothes come out fresh and clean.

Fresh and Clean

I used to use this detergent frequently and was rather pleased with it. I mainly stopped buying it because I preferred something with some scent since we have stinky well water. They could also be more transparent with their ingredients, I think this brand does a lot of green washing. Overall does a good job cleaning.

What more can you ask for in a laundry detergent? I like this affordable, sustainable option for laundry detergent. It works well on all colors and actually gets the clothes clean. I love scents, but my partner has allergies so I wash a lot of his stuff using Free and Clear. It works great! Definitely will repurchase!

Poorly designed cap/bottle

The cap design is horrible and needs to be redesigned. The directions mention filling up to “3” and “5” but there are no numbers visible. Also, this is not a no-spill design - there is nothing to catch smallest amount of leftover liquid on the cap. Make sure you have something handy to wipe it off.

Great for sensitive skin

If you have super sensitive skin or allergies, this is a lifesaver—no rashes, finally! But if your clothes have heavy mud or spaghetti stains, forget it. You absolutely have to pre-treat everything, which is kind of a pain. Great for everyday washes, though.

Great for delicate and gentle clothing

I really like seventh generation products because they are eco-friendly and because they have a bio enzyme powder that fight stains. This liquid detergent really does get my laundry clean.. I use it according to the packaging and I never seem to have any issues with my laundry. Sometimes I have clothing that I don’t want to have any sense to it. This is especially true for specific whites and gentle, delicate clothing. So I use this product on those items and it seems to work extremely well...

7th generation

7th generation is super effective when it comes to washing your clothes. Its has easy access packing and a fresh scent. Its a great value for your money and is good to use when remember the environmental impact it has. I have super sensitive skin and it never gives me rashes or reactions ever. Its one of my favorite laundry detergents

Works for sensitive skin

Of the many “ free & clear “ products I’ve tried, this one really does the job without irritating my skin! I’ve found only 3 products I can use, this one is definitely more cost effective.

My default laundry detergent

Ever since I had to switch to laundry detergent for sensitive skin due to my sensitivities to certain fragrances, I had started using 7th Generation and it's normally what I always use if it's available. I've tried a couple of the scented ones but I feel like the smell fades too fast so I just stick to the free and clear which works just as well.
