Would RecommendThe ScreenTight system is a great solution to my porch-screening project. It is relatively easy to install the base and cap pieces. The most tedious part is rolling the spline into the grooves, but there's no way around that dreadful job. The end result is beautiful. This picture was taken before I attached the caps.

Porch screens are now tight and replaceable
Would RecommendI replaced my old porch screen, which was secured with staples and lathe, with this spline and groove system, and I'm glad I did. My new screens (some as large as 4'x5') are tight and secure, and will be a lot easier to replace if one gets ripped again. It's more expensive than lathe, but I won't have to spend hours pulling staples anymore.
