What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this screening system for its ease of installation and professional results, with most noting the intuitive process delivers a polished, contractor-quality finish without staples. Reviewers consistently highlight exceptional durability, reporting screens installed 15 or more years ago remain tight and have withstood hurricanes and harsh weather. Many emphasize the value and aesthetic appeal, describing the finished look as great and worth the investment. A few mention minor issues like plastic caps not snapping securely or scuffed components upon arrival, though these are viewed as manageable trade-offs for the system's overall performance and longevity.

Saved over $1200 and screened in my porch myself. It is time consuming and a lot of work but once you get it, it gets faster and easier. I would definately do it again and love Lowes military discount.

Limited and weak colors, particularly brown.
Would Not RecommendScreen tight caps come in very limited colors. Of course white works well for those white deck applications, but the brown is not really brown but light mocha and detracts from a wood finish.

14 years and still looks great.
Would RecommendI use the Screen Tight system to screen in our porch 14 years ago, could not be more pleased.plan to use it again when I build my wife's Woman Cave.
Great Product
Would RecommendFinally a product that's affordable, well made and actually works. We covered a portion of our deck and screened it. I found this product at Lowes and I'm glad I did. It's easy to work with, easy to install and looks great when it's complete. You don't have to be perfect with this product to make it look great. The snap in cover is easy to install and looks great. I would recommend this product to anyone from the new homeowner to the pro's.

Does not work with aluminum screen
Would Not RecommendThis system does not work with aluminum screening. It has been nothing but trouble. The channels of the system are different sizes, have tried many different sizes of spline (including 1.60 as recommended on manufacturer's website) and nothing fits right. I plan on returning it and going with the old fashioned way of staples and furring strips. Waste of time and $$$$.
Great product but watch your spacing
Would RecommendWe replaced the screening on our 20x15 porch with this system. The taller the porch the trickier the installation becomes. Make sure you really trim the screen before installing the caps. Even with the screen trimmed close the caps did not always go on easy. We had one major problem where we screwed the top base row flush to the wood trim of the house. The caps wouldn't snap in because you need to leave at least an 1/8 inch gap. Unfortunately the video and our printed instructions didn't say thi...
Good Product, Not As Easy As it Says To Install
Would RecommendCouple of things they don't show in the video at the manufacture's site. You can't cut it with scissors. I used straight cut metal sheers. You need to measure carefully, make sure the base strips go on perfectly straight (horizontal and vertical) or it will show when you put the cap on. You need to square the ends after cutting with a bench sander (see pic) for things to look right, especially the caps.
Wonderful Product - Easy Install
Would RecommendThe price was only about $20 more than the wood trim I would have needed to buy. This was easy to install. I used the drywall screws but the heads were a little small so I didn't screw them into the notches, I just screwed them into the strip itself. I live in a windy city so I used extra screws. I installed all of the base strips and installed 85% of the screen in 1 day by myself. I used the fiberglass screen and the spline was a little hard to get started, but I just poked it in the channel wi...
