What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mulch for its vibrant, long-lasting color that enhances flower beds and provides striking visual contrast. Many highlight excellent value and ease of spreading, with numerous reviewers purchasing it annually. The rich red and black varieties stand out as superior to alternatives. Most appreciate effective weed suppression and smooth application. However, some report quality inconsistencies including mold, large wood chunks, and premature color fading after rain. Despite these concerns, the majority remain highly satisfied with the product.

Quality Mulch
Does a great job keeping weeds and moisture under control. Color lasts a year, lasts better than most brands.

Great for all garden types.
Would RecommendI really love how it looks smells, and how it added to the appearance of my 5 garden beds now bedded down for winter, the price was very reasonable! No weeds popping through and it’s holding the moisture in the soil. Texture is perfect and it’s holding its color too. It appears to be slowly composting into the soil.

Worth the extra cents
Would RecommendI decided to go with this brand as the color doesn't fade as quickly as the other brands. Even after an unexpected downpour, the mulch maintained its color.

The bags I purchased from Lowes were big chunks of wood. I think I could have built a house out of them! They were more like wood chips than mulch. I had purchased some earlier in the season from another business and they were good. I was very disappointed in the product.
