Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the mulch for its vibrant, long-lasting color that remains striking for up to 18 months without fading. The product spreads easily with consistent texture and quality, making it simple to apply. Many appreciate the excellent value and buy in bulk during promotions. The black and brown varieties are especially favored for enhancing garden aesthetics. A small number report mold in some bags or color fading after rain, but these concerns are significantly outweighed by positive feedback. Overall, most consider it a trusted, cost-effective choice for maintaining attractive landscaping.

Moldy mulch
We bought the black mulch and it was very moist and moldy. Multiple bags were like this.

Red and brown mulch
The mulch Lowe's sells is a great quality mulch. It always has been. I am not impressed with the plastic bags the red mulch comes in. There were a lot (and I do mean a LOT) of busted bags of red mulch. It could be the customers are brutal in handling the bags. So I don't know if the bags are of poor quality or the customers are absolutely careless. By the number of broken bags, the associates are NOT cleaning the mess up.
