Ratings & Reviews for Scotts Nature Scapes Color Enhanced 1.5 -cu ft Sierra Red Blend Mulch
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the mulch for its vibrant, long-lasting color that holds for months without fading, easy-to-spread texture, and excellent value. Many repurchase year after year, noting the black and brown varieties enhance curb appeal and outperform competitors in durability. The consistent texture and manageable bags make application effortless. Some report mold in occasional bags, inconsistent texture with large chunks, or odor concerns, but these issues are far outweighed by positive feedback on color retention and affordability.

Best Choice to Use
I've been using this product for years and it's always been the best on the market without having weeds grow from within the mulch. Color lasts longer than other brands too.

Moldy mulch
We bought the black mulch and it was very moist and moldy. Multiple bags were like this.

Red and brown mulch
The mulch Lowe's sells is a great quality mulch. It always has been. I am not impressed with the plastic bags the red mulch comes in. There were a lot (and I do mean a LOT) of busted bags of red mulch. It could be the customers are brutal in handling the bags. So I don't know if the bags are of poor quality or the customers are absolutely careless. By the number of broken bags, the associates are NOT cleaning the mess up.
