Ratings & Reviews for Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair 20-lb Centipede Grass Seed
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed reviews. Some customers reported excellent results, with the grass seed filling in bare spots and growing lush grass. However, the majority of reviews were negative, with many customers complaining that the seed did not germinate or grow at all, even after following the instructions carefully. The seed coverage was also reported as poor, with the product washing away after heavy rain. A few positive reviews noted that the seed was easy to apply and grew quickly, but customers advised being patient as centipede grass can take time to fully establish.

Never germinated
Would Not RecommendI put down lawn soil, then applied the product and watered as directed. We had some perfect rain to help. Nothing came up. Tried again, still nothing. Returning the remainder. What a waste of time and water.
Easy to apply
I am very happy with this product

Patch not for me
Would Not RecommendExpensive and mostly patch material which flys in light and need a mask as you breath it in when you put it down. Our lawn soil beneath and it’s been a month and very little growth. Patch not good for larger bare spots. Caterpillar grass does crawl into barge spots but seed in patch material not germinating.

Would Not RecommendI planted the product 3 weeks ago and have seen no germination yet. The weather conditions have been ideal so I would not recommend the product.

Actually worked
Would RecommendI used this patch repair. I was skeptical from some of the reviews. I laid this down in my yard as directed and I saw spouting's about a week later. they have continued to grow. You do have tow water the lawn at least twice a day.

did nothing
Would Not RecommendI followed the directions to the letter--twice. water, sun, ground prep---I got a few sprigs of centepede grass to pop up in about 50 square feet. I NOW see that others had similar experiences. They should give a refund.

Cure for poor Conditions
Would RecommendThis mix is great for really large or small lawn maintenance. Used it with a slurry mix to help repair and over seed poorly established lawns in florida, Helps stabilize and prevent erosion along heavily trafficked paths with poor drainage. Add it with scott’s pro 3-1 weed feed insecticide and things change.
zero germination
Would Not RecommendPurchased 2 bags of this product and followed instructions. Not a single blade of grass!!!!! Shame on Scotts
