Would RecommendSandbox is great size for 1 & 4 year olds. Easy to put together, even for OCD husband. We opted to put pea gravel as first layer so he wouldn’t spend so much time leveling. Tarp should be a couple inches larger to go up sides and better retain sand. It runs out of the tiniest crevice. The pea gravel helped with this. Some local farms have play areas for kids filled with whole corn so that is what we used. Four 50# bags is a good starting point. The included tarp bottom is a bit small for a hard surface installation as it does not go up the sides very far. For an "on the lawn" installation it would be just fine. Would RecommendI bought this sandbox after reviewing all sandboxes including reviews out there. It was very easy to install and the cover fits nicely. We live in Illinois and the weather is not always nice so it is important for us to have sandbox that is solid and also comes with a cover to protect it. My daughter absolutely loves it and we cannot wait to spend more time playing outside once the weather gets nice. This is a good size sandbox. Not small, not big, just perfect!

The construction makes it easy to disassemble in the winter and store in the shed if desired meaning way less wear on the box and prolonged life because of it. the box components are easy to carry compared to wood and easy to assemble (no bolts, nails, screws, or nuts and washers). Would RecommendThis product was easy to setup. It is well designed and very sturdy. We love the seats on the corners. The cover is the best part. It is fitted and ventilated and has tie-down straps. We used 15 bags of sand. I thought about making my own, but glad we bought this one after reading all the great reviews.
