Ratings & Reviews for Rust-Oleum Universal Flat Burnished Amber Metallic Oil-based Spray paint and primer in one ( NET WT. 11-oz )

Easy spray job

Great paint - sprays evenly - remarkable results - beautiful appearance

Great finish, great product

We are in the process of updating our house which was full of all kinds of mismatched colors when we bought it. Half of our woodwork was white, half brown. Light fixtures antique and bright brass, fireplace doors in nickel and antique brass-you get the picture. We want consistency so I bought this spray paint to experiment with in order to update existing light fixtures and door hardware from bright brass to either satin nickel (this color) or rubbed bronze (Burnished Amber metallic). I also pur...

Great Way To Tie Mismatched Anything Together

I used this paint to make a bunch of mismatched planters (different styles, different materials, different colors) look like they all belonged to the same set. It does adhere to any surface (I used it on plastic, metal, concrete, and foam planters), but for very porous surfaces (like concrete), I highly recommend putting a primer coat on so that you don't have to use can after can of this paint to get a nice finish. (I used Kilz since I had extra on hand.)

Clean and easy to use spray can. We used it to paint some steel plates . It applied nice and evenly. Looks great. Drys clean. Not tacky.

Excellent Paint

Easy to use, minimal runs, sticks where you spray it. Use this brand all the time for every project.

Paint

We used this paint to paint brushed nickel light fixtures and brushed nickel ceiling fan. Turned out great. The fixtures and ceiling fan now looks updated to a rubbed bronze color. Matches perfectly.

Issue with Spray Mechanism

Paint seems good, but I had issues with the spray mechanism. Poor design.

As expected, the product performed very well.

I prefer Lowe's to Home Depot. The items I seek can usually be found there. Sales persons and customer service persons have been accommodating and very helpful.

Great product!

I redid my outdoor patio set and it turned out great! Our set was in good condition, but needed makeover. I spent $100 on paint, but saved a ton of money from not buying a new set.

Great Product

Never thought I would be writing a review for spray paint, but why not? I have always enjoyed Rust-Oleum products and this one did not let me down. It was a perfect match to some wood modifications I made to an entertainment center and blended nicely with the center's original finish. The spray is consistent and smooth so it does not gum up as long as you are maintaining a smooth sweeping pattern on whatever you are painting (as with all spray paints). The can fits comfortably in the hand to mak...

metallic paint

worked great although didn't cover as much as I thought it would so needed several cans

great product

I had brass porch lights that were looking tired. This paint was perfect to update them an bring them back to life

Great Quality Paint

I recently bought this spray paint and am very satisfied with my purchase. The spray can is extremely easy to use and goes on clean. I haven't had any problem with coverage or over-spraying. I used this to paint over another paint spray I used and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Don't be put off by the higher price of this spray paint. You will not regret paying a little more for a quality spray paint. Products are dry to the touch within an hour, but I definitely recommend letting your item(...

color much lighter

coverage is below average color is much lighter than expected

Not very happy.

This is the 2nd can I have purchased. Both cans did not spray very well. When you started to paint it would not spray very well and would spit out spots of paint. Had to wipe of paint and start over. Very unhappy with this paint. Love the color.

Luv the Color

I painted some lightweight pots with this paint. Only took one coat and they look super.
